1. I just had an accident, what is the first thing I should do?
The first thing you should do is to calm down and access whether there is any immediate danger. Once you have determined that the situation is safe, get the other party's information such as license plate number, car model, color, driver's license and insurance information. And of course, it is best to find a witness where possible.
2. After a minor accident, how can I determine if it is safe to drive my car?
Every situation is different. It is recommended that you first consult Grandcity Autobody.
3. Can I request the tow truck driver to tow my car to Grandcity? Will there be any charge?
The car should first be towed to the ICBC compound (car lot). At your request, ICBC can tow your car to Grandcity Autobody shop and will pay for the charge since it is under an ICBC claim.
4. What are the steps in insurance claim?
With your insurance paper and driver's license, call ICBC dial-a-claim center at 604-520-8222 to report the incident. The dial-a-claim agent may ask you some of the following questions:
* License plate number on the cars involved in the collision
* Driver's license number for all parties
* Date, time and location of the collision
* Driving direction/orientation of all vehicles
* Contact of witness
... Etc.
